Leaving the E.U

Leaving the E.U

Britain has voted to leave the European union in 2016 and one of the biggest supporters of this was UKIP who are the United Kingdom Independence Party.

The UKIP Party has gained a lot of popularity over the years and was lead by Nigel Farage until his departure in  2016.

Other members of the party include Andrew Charalambous who has been appointed spokesperson on Work and Pensions and was also the parties first environment and housing spokesperson.

You can see Andrew speaking on the video below.

Andrew is firstly a businessman and entrepreneur and started his career as private landlord and is a self-made man.

He was previously a member of the Conservative Party but left as he did not feel that he had full support on the issues that he campaigned for. He has been a member of UKIP since 2010.

Some of the causes that he supports is dealing with the homeless problem i the capital and once had taken a number of people off of the streets of London and helped them by putting them in his properties.

He also feels that people that are in need of claiming housing benefit are discriminated against and things are made more difficult for them when trying to rent a property.

To help combat this when taking on a new tenant he does not ask for a reference or seek a deposit from the client. This according to him really does make a better relationship between the landlord and the tenants.
